The best way to remember a great man is having great memories about him.  Grand Master Thomas Phalen, we will keep you alive in our memories.  Rest in peace.  Your legacy will go on with the instructors and students that came from your martial arts training!  I had the pleasure of training with him and in his late years kept in touch with him.  He was very proud of the successors to the system!  He told me once "Develop a system of your own, following the system that you learned."  Great works from a great man.

He was very involved with the kids of the El Paso, TX community.  Giving them the opportunity to have the martial arts experience.  it was always about helping the kids.  He has inspired and motivated many people.  We have many great memories.  Thank you for your friendship and teachings.    

This is the alliance / partnership formed in 2006 with Grand Master Ernest Hewitt of Sleeping Dragon Dojo, Sensei Ernest Ruiz of Club de Judo Samurai and Sensei Francisco Jorge of Blue Dragon Dojo.  The goal was to promote Judo through our dojos.  We are still working with Sensei Adrian Leyva my training brother who is teaching in El Paso, TX and carrying on the dojo name Sleeping Dragon Dojo.
